Giulia is a Grierson shortlisted filmmaker with 7 years experience making short documentaries. Her recent projects include shooting for Glasto Latino stage at Glastonbury Festival, with Peggy Gou & Kylie Minogue and the UK PR Team for Cannes Film Festival. She has made films with the Biodynamic Agricultural College, Dive Project Cornwall, It Gets Better UK, Cranborne Chase AONB, shot for Barbara Santi's BFI funded 'PROTEST' and Jordyn Romero's 'We Are Like Waves' and worked as an Associate Producer on doc podcast series 'RESISTANCE: Stories from Ukraine' hosted by Nat Geo photo journalist Laurel Chor. Alongside this she has also worked as a location scout for dramas distributed by the BBC, Amazon, Paramount+ and Sony Pictures TV.

Her background and BA in Graphic Design has given her a fundamental understanding of how to build a story and communicate an idea in the most suitable medium. During her second year she pitched a winning idea for an NHS app which progressed to clinical trials in the South West of the UK. Shortly after, she interned at four graphic design studios across the country and pursued an MA in Film & Television at Falmouth University. During this time she self-shot and directed her debut documentary (Babies & Bellyboards, 2017) which premiered at IOMFF and saw her shortlisted in the top 8 student short documentaries in the country at the prestigious annual Grierson Awards. Later that year she was Longlisted for Best New Director at WSFF and was awarded The Emily Hobhouse award from Falmouth University which supported her initial work on a series of short stories shot across Lebanon. The first of which has been shortlisted for Ocean Film Festival's World tour (HIMA, 2020) as well as being selected to screen at Arab Women Film Festival in Denmark (2021) and WomenX (2021).
